Health Systems Are Under Attack
Around the world, patients are losing access to lifesaving care as unjust funding cuts dismantle health systems. This is a manufactured crisis and lives are at risk.
PIH teams are showing up to keep care going. In communities across Malawi, Lesotho, Haiti, Peru, Sierra Leone, and beyond, health workers continue delivering HIV and TB care, supporting patients at home, and helping hold entire health systems together.
We need your help. Right now, thanks to a group of generous donors, every donation is 3X matched up to $1 million through December 31—tripling your impact at a critical moment.
Your gift is an act of resistance—a powerful statement that everyone deserves health care, regardless of who they are or where they live. Don’t wait for the match to run out. Donate now to ensure your gift is tripled and show that we're stronger together.
“There are millions of people relying on the care that you help make possible as a PIHer. They do not have the luxury of waiting in despair, and so neither do we.”
- Dr. Sheila Davis, PIH CEO
A movement for lifesaving health care

Bonds of solidarity and access to health care are being attacked around the world. But we refuse to stand by. Instead, we respond with unity, action, and an unshakable commitment to justice. We must stand together to help deliver lifesaving care to those who need it most:
- New maternal health centers and maternal waiting homes have been opened in some of the most dangerous places to give birth in the world, from Lesotho to Sierra Leone, to give women the support, and medical care they need to have a safe birth and pregnancy.
- In Haiti, our teams continue to deliver care despite instability and violence, ensuring Hôpital Universitaire de Mirebalais (HUM) is operational using existing supplies and solar power in the most challenging conditions.
- PIH has made incredible strides towards innovation and care: UGHE—which builds on PIH's three decades of experience in delivering quality care—is ranked number four in universities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
