Speakers

Co-founder & Chair of the Board of Directors, PIH
Ophelia Dahl co-founded Partners In Health, which began in Haiti’s rural Central Plateau more than 30 years ago and now serves millions of patients in 11 countries around the world. PIH’s community-based model has helped to redefine what’s possible in health care delivery in settings of poverty, proving that diseases that stalk the poor can be effectively treated and health systems strengthened. Dahl led PIH as executive director for 16 years and now chairs its Board of Directors.

PIH Trustee & Bestselling Author
John Green is an award-winning, #1 bestselling author, vertical video sensation, and has co-created alongside his brother Hank many online video projects, including Vlogbrothers, the educational channel Crash Course, and an annual livestreamed fundraiser called the Project for Awesome (P4A). John serves as Trustee for PIH and, with PIH and Nerdfighteria, has raised over 30 million dollars to tackle maternal mortality in Sierra Leone. In 2023, John publicly called for the eradication of tuberculosis and has since published Everything is Tuberculosis: The History and Persistence of Our Deadliest Infection.
