Global Health Justice Week: Join the Movement
The only way to fight against the current injustice is action. Join PIH leaders this Global Health Justice Week to learn about what you can do.
The World is Watching—It’s Time to Act on TB.
Tuberculosis is a disease of inequality. Despite being curable since the 1950s, it remains the world’s deadliest infectious disease, disproportionately affecting the poorest and accelerating cycles of poverty and injustice. In fact, TB claims a life every 20 seconds—deaths that are entirely preventable. Drug resistance, underfunded health systems, and lack of access to care make this crisis even deadlier.
For 40 years, Partners In Health has been proving that eliminating TB is possible. PIH has set a higher standard of care, leading the fight for better policies, treatments, and access to lifesaving drugs. We work alongside patients, scientists, and policymakers to challenge the status quo—driving down drug prices, pioneering new treatment strategies, and ensuring that the latest innovations reach the people who need them most.
This Global Health Justice Week, join us in the fight for health equity. Until every person with TB can access the care they deserve, this fight isn’t over. Justice demands urgent action. Act now to urge Congress to reverse the Trump Administration’s cuts to global TB programs—email your representative today.

Global Health Justice Week is a global campaign inspired by the legacy, teachings, and impact of PIH’s co-founder, the late Dr. Paul Farmer. In its inaugural year, we'll focus on the importance of unity and solidarity in the fight for health justice, and what each of us can do to advance health as a human right.
Watch PIH’s Dr. Joia Mukherjee and Vincent Lin, and Health GAP’s Asia Russell, to learn how you can help protect health as a human right. As the U.S. threatens to withdraw from WHO and slash foreign aid, global health is at risk. Watch now to hear what’s at stake and how to advocate for those most impacted worldwide.
Tuberculosis: The Preventable Disease That Still Kills Millions

Bending the Arc
Decades before they joined the fight against COVID-19, and long before they helped battle Ebola in West Africa, Dr. Paul Farmer, Dr. Jim Yong Kim, and Ophelia Dahl began a movement that would change global health forever by co-founding Partners In Health. Bending the Arc tells their story.
The community health model they developed to treat diseases like tuberculosis, HIV, and AIDS has saved millions of lives in the developing world. Their fight for universal health equity became a global battle in the highest halls of power for the right to health for all.
