Funding Freezes are a Global Health Emergency
Foreign aid cuts aren’t abstract—they’re deadly. Across the globe, lifesaving programs are being dismantled overnight. Clinics shut down. Health workers are laid off. Medicine shelves run empty. In the wake of $60 billion in frozen aid, people are already being turned away from health care that is their human right.
We’re working to ensure care continues for the people who need it most. From essential HIV and TB programs to maternal and child health services, your support helps us protect decades of progress.
This is a man-made crisis—and we don’t have to accept it. When global funding disappears, your donation is a powerful act of community resistance. With this limited-time match, your impact is multiplied—twice the care, twice the hope.
“There are millions of people relying on the care that you help make possible as a PIHer. They do not have the luxury of waiting in despair, and so neither do we.”
- Dr. Sheila Davis, PIH CEO

In Lesotho, Health Care is Vanishing
In Lesotho, the collapse has already begun. U.S.-funded HIV and TB programs across six districts have been dismantled. Patients with curable illnesses—like tuberculosis—are being turned away.
This is what happens when half a country’s HIV and TB funding disappears overnight. But it’s not too late. Your support helps keep clinics open, care within reach, and decades of progress intact.
Around the world, health systems are collapsing under the weight of vanishing aid. From now through June 30, your gift will be doubled to have twice the impact, ensuring PIH can respond where the need is greatest—in Lesotho and beyond—keeping care alive for communities that would otherwise be left behind.
