Thank you for joining Healthworks to bring aid to the people of Haiti The scope the disaster is truly enormous, and a tremendous influx of immediate aid is needed to avert an even greater loss of life. Partners In Health has been working in Haiti for nearly 25 years. Our local team is already working to ensure PIH’s coordinated relief efforts, leveraging the skills of more than 120 doctors and nearly 500 nurses and nursing assistants who work at established sites throughout Haiti. Update(1/20/10): Healthworks has increased our matching pledge to $25,000 and is actively seeking area businesses to help us with the matching program. As of today, Healthworks members of contributed more than $40,000 to PIH! For over 30 Years Healthworks has been helping the women and children of Boston. In this time of need, please help us extend our mission to help the Women and Children of Haiti. Healthworks will be matching up to $20,000 in member donations to Partners in Health, we have already received more than $13,000 in donations in less than 24 hours. Help us reach our goal. Please help us make sure that this skilled team has the resources it needs to address the crisis at hand. (Please note that more than $30,000 in donations have been made by Healthworks members separate from this page, and may not be reflected in the total on this page, but it will count towards our matching goal.) 
When a Person in Peru, or Siberia, or rural Haiti falls ill, PIH uses all of the means at our disposal to make them well… Whatever it takes. Just as we would do if a member of our own family—or we ourselves—were ill. |
