Although governments are pledging huge amounts of aid, normal people can make a real difference by quickly and carefully donating to the right groups.

I've been friends with Paul Farmer and his colleagues for about ten years, and have twice traveled with his teams in Haiti.

Partners In Health is one of the best run organizations I've ever seen. I've found their staff to be highly qualified, highly motivated, fast, efficient, thoughtful, and trustworthy.
