Hokies United Hokies United™ is a student-driven volunteer effort organized to respond to local, national, and international tragedies that impact Virginia Tech students, alumni, and community. In response to the devastating impact of the strongest earthquake to hit the Hispaniola region in more than two centuries, Hokies United was reactivated to promote a Virginia Tech wide earthquake relief effort. This relief effort and all money donated to Hokies United will support the Haiti quake relief activities of Partners in Health (PIH), who have provided health care in Haiti for nearly 25 years. Partners in Health is working to ensure coordinated relief efforts, leveraging the skills of more than 120 doctors and nearly 500 nurses and nursing assistants who work at established sites throughout Haiti. Thank you for joining Hokies United in providing relief to people of Haiti. The scope the disaster is enormous, and a tremendous influx of immediate aid is needed to avert an even greater loss of life. Donations to Partners in Health through this Hokies United donation portal are fully tax deductable and your contribution will be acknowledge by Partners in Health.
