Case Western Reserve University School Of Medicine's Haiti Earthquake Relief Campaign

Dear Case Western Medical Students, Friends and Mentors, As many of you know a major earthquake has devastated Port-au-Prince, the capitol of Haiti. Partners in Health and its partner organization Zanmi Lasante have worked in Haiti for nearly twenty-five years, and is now one of the largest non-governmental health care providers in Haiti. We have set up a Case School of Medicine fundraising page through Partners in Health. If you are interested in donating to Partners in Health, you need only to use log into the website with your name, email, and zip code and you will be able to donate with the total school's donations tracted on the website. If you are not in a position to make a financial contribution, you can help raise awareness of the earthquake tragedy by alerting your friends and family about the situation and directing them to this site or www.pih.org. These donations will be helpful during the acute crisis, but we are also looking into ways to contribute long-term. Any other ideas or thoughts would be much appreciated. Finally, as future health professionals, we can learn a great deal from this tragedy. We would appreciate your participation and support in upcoming educational seminars on the current situation in Haiti and in further disaster relief efforts. Thank you, Your Fellow Classmates

When a Person in Peru, or Siberia, or rural Haiti falls ill, PIH uses all of the means at our disposal to make them well…

Whatever it takes. Just as we would do if a member of our own family—or we ourselves—were ill.
