Indiana University School of Medicine's Haiti Earthquake Relief Campaign |

Dear Students, Faculty, Alumni, Family, and Friends,
In the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Haiti, many of us were wondering how we could help. Since logistical constraints made direct assistance less feasible, providing financial support to relief organizations with a proven record was recognized as a fantastic alternative. The decision to support Partners in Health in particular stemmed from their extensive experience in Haiti as well as their considerable personnel already on site. As the only medical school in the state, and one of the largest in the nation, we believe that IUSM in particular has the obligation to set a strong example in situations where health concerns are paramount. With the appreciation that a united front is the strongest front, we are excited at the prospect of the IUSM student body joining cause with alumni, faculty, staff, and supportive members of the community in this important collective fundraising effort. Thank you for your support! Sincerely, The IUSM Student Body ![]() When a Person in Peru, or Siberia, or rural Haiti falls ill, PIH uses all of the means at our disposal to make them well… Whatever it takes. Just as we would do if a member of our own family—or we ourselves—were ill. |
