Urban Walk for Haiti 2011 (Haiti Awareness)

Please join us for the 8th Annual URBAN WALK FOR HAITI

The staggering problems of poverty, hunger and disease often seem so overwhelming that we dont know where to begin. But every life matters, or in Haitian Kreyol tout moun se moun every person is a person. And every person can take part in breaking the cycle of poverty and disease.

The Urban Walk for Haiti brings together communities from the Boston region to show their support for PIH and every human life. The walk will feature Joia Mukherjee, Chief Medical Officer at Partners In Health. We will also have local Haitian vendors selling crafts, clothing and delicious food and musicians to get our dancing feet warmed up for the walk. Bring your friends, family and funds as we enthusiastically support PIH.

This year the Walk is supporting PIH's nutrition program in Haiti, Zanmi Agrikol. Nourimanba and Nourimil are two therapeutic food products PIH uses to treat children with malnutrition. As we help treat these children we are also supporting the local economy. Both therapeutic food products are grown and packaged and distributed in Haiti, by Haitians. For the complete 6-8 week program, the cost per child is $150. Join us today and pledge to raise this small amount to support one child's road to recovery.

Registration will begin at 12:00 noon, the day of the event. For more information please visit:
