Join Longwood Symphony Orchestra (LSO) , Arlington Street Church and Partners In Health (PIH) for Symphonic Relief for Haiti II, a concert that will raise contruction funds for CERE - Center for Excellence in Rehabilitation and Education in Mirebalais, Haiti. Once complete, CERE will be the first fully accessible rehabilitation facility within Haiti's public health system and will provide care to patients who have lost mobility through disease, accidents, or natural disasters.
The concert will be performed by the inspiring musicians of Longwood Symphony who are committed to Healing the Community through Music and believe that every patient deserves the chance to pursue an active, creative, and fulfilling life.
Conducted by LSO Music Director Ronny Feldman, Longwood Symphony will perform Vivaldi's beloved Four Seasons, featuring violinists Nicholas Kitchen, Sherman Jia, Adrian Anantawan, and Sue-Jonnathane Celestin.
Venezuelan-born clarinetist Jorge Montilla performs the Boston premiere of Concertino by Haitian-American composer Julio Racine and the concert concludes with Mendelssohn's String Symphony No. 9 in C.
