On Saturday, June 14, Partners In Health volunteers will join forces with Boston area schools, hospitals, and businesses to honor community health workers, who walk hundreds of miles every day in countries like Haiti, Malawi, Rwanda, Peru, and even in the U.S., on behalf of PIH, to treat some of the poorest and sickest patients in the world.
"Strides for Solidarity," a Walkathon at MIT, will bring together PIH supporters to walk 5 kilometers as a team or as individuals in solidarity with the thousands of PIH community health workers, who walk great distances over rough terrain to reach people in need and bring much needed treatment and medications to remote locations.
