Emerging demographic, economic and dietary factors suggest that a large burden of preventable, non-communicative chronic disease is developing in many areas of the world. Meanwhile, malnutrition due to infectious diseases, inadequate agriculture, and unequal food distribution continue to result in acute undernutrition to women, children and other susceptible populations. In order to review the current state of the "double burden" of both over- and under-nutrition, the Harvard Nutrition and Global Health Program is holding its 3rd Annual Symposium. Please save the date for this state of the art symposium in which researchers from Asia, Africa and other global partners with Harvard will review the latest data concerning this critical public health and nutrition dilemma.
